A couple of months ago I was thumbing through InStyle when I came across an article on Joel McHale and his wife Sarah Williams’ Los Angeles house. A collaboration between Williams and Elizabeth Gordon Studio, the house truly blew me away. And while the design is incredible, what really struck me, and what continues to draw me back to the article, is the treatment of ceilings throughout. Nearly every room is topped with a different, bold paper….and it works incredibly well. Growing up as the daughter of a painting contractor, white ceilings are practically engrained in my mind, but now I’m itching to throw that principle out the door. I want to add pattern to a ceiling ASAP. See why with more shots from the home by clicking here or going to the Inspired Ideas page.
